🍇 Welcome to The Winemaker's Notebook
Hello and welcome to our new wine diary!
We are delighted to open the pages of this journal to share with you our daily life, our discoveries, our favorites, and our winemaking secrets. Since 1960, three generations of winemakers have succeeded one another on our 21-hectare estate in Saint-Lambert-du-Lattay, and today, we have decided to take you behind the scenes of our passion.
📖 Why this notebook?
For decades, we have cultivated our vines, made our wines and welcomed our visitors with the same passion that drove Paul Robineau when he acquired his first hectare in 1960. But we realized that between two harvests, between two tastings in the cellar, there were so many things to tell, so many moments to share.
The Winemaker's Notebook is our way of:
- 🍇 Let us share with you the seasons of the vineyard, following the rhythm of our daily work.
- 🍷 Sharing our winemaking secrets and the art of creating our cuvées
- 👨🌾 Telling our family story and the anecdotes that make up our identity
- 🍽️ Giving you tasting tips and food and wine pairing advice
- 🌍 Introducing you to our unique terroir of Anjou Noir
👨👩👦 Who are we?
Paul Robineau (1960-1984)
The visionary who started it all. In 1960, after his workdays, Paul devoted himself passionately to his first hectare of vines. In 1970, he took the plunge: he dedicated himself entirely to his vineyard and acquired an additional 5 hectares. It is in homage to this pioneer that we created Cuvée Paul , a Coteaux du Layon that perpetuates his commitment to quality.
Louis & Christine (since 1992)
In 1992, Louis and Christine officially took over the family business. Under their leadership, the estate modernized: the new winery was built in 1998, expanded in 2002, and additional plots of land were gradually acquired, eventually reaching 21 hectares. Their philosophy? Authentic wines that reflect the richness of our terroir.
Yohan (since 2025)
After 12 years spent making wine at a neighboring vineyard, Yohan returns to the family estate. His return marks the beginning of a new era: one of dialogue between generations. It is from this dialogue that the Divergence cuvée was born, the fruit of a creative disagreement that gave rise to an exceptional wine.
